Our Start

In 2020, the pandemic put a spotlight on inequity, food insecurity, and gaps in the social safety net. Each of us made good trouble in our own ways - out of our kitchens and garages - in response to the needs we saw in our community. We began to find one another - organizing mutual aid projects, fundraising, dropping off food and running errands for our neighbors.

We have continued to foster those connections and build new relationships. Our goals have grown from sending loads of food, water, and supplies up to Warm Springs to working with our houseless neighbors in Deschutes and Jefferson Counties to identify and meet their ongoing needs.
