Zero at 0

It is unacceptable that in 2022 any human being should freeze to death in our community.

Zero at 0 is our project to collect donated and discounted tents, sleeping bags, tarps, sleeping pads, and blankets as part of our work to help ensure that no one in our community freezes to death in the cold weather months.

With the cold weather not done with us yet, we are still collecting gear for our houseless neighbors living out in the junipers. Staying warm and dry can help folks keep their toes, their limbs, and even save their lives this winter.

- 62 sleeping bags

0-5 degree sleeping bags are usually around $35, with some stores like Big 5 offering discounts for charitable causes. Waterproof bags on the outside with soft, flannel material on the inside are the most popular, but blankets can be used inside and tarps on the outside of more lightweight 3-season bags as well so we can take donations of any sleeping bags and tents that are in clean, usable shape and put them to good use. Tarps, rain flies, sleeping pads, cots, buddy heaters, stoves, and propane/butane too!

Let us know if you have some gear to donate and we can come pick up from you, or if you prefer, you can donate funds and have us do the shopping.
